Expertise in systems biology, modelling and molecular biology. My contribution to the MycoSynVac project is my work to generate a dynamic module of MPN metabolism that can be integrated in a whole cell model of MPN. The aim of this dynamic metabolic model is to improve our understanding of metabolic requirements, metabolic interactions and bottlenecks in metabolism. This understanding can be used to engineer a Mycoplasma vaccine chassis with improved growth rate that can be grown on a more defined medium and as such will be cheaper to produce.
